Lord of the flies is about the story of some boys surviving on an island after the plane they were traveling with, gets shot down. The boys don't know each other. Moments after their arrival, the boys start spreading rumors about a beast existing in the island. Then, a boy named Ralph, tries to assemble a meeting by blowing into a conch shell, but, another boy named Jack fights with him for leadership. The group of boys splits, lose their cooperation and forget about their actual goal which was; trying to survive and being rescued, but, actually focus on fighting with the other tribe.
This story has so many things that can be learnt from it. This is because, the author is describing our society and how people can behave in some cases. He explains the problems that can be resulted when collaboration with other kids is not being supervised by adults. The novel has as its themes the civility and the morality and it shows some beliefs about humanity; this can help us understand the way kids were raised by their parents back then. The author also decribes human nature and tells us how any person can become evil so, he can survive and save himself.
I think that, the author's goal is to change the way people act and teach us how can teamwork help us get through tough experiences in our lives!
