Scars to your beautiful is a song which was published back in 2015 by Alessia Cara. In an interview Alessia Cara stated about the song:

It's directed at women, but I think men can relate to it as well. It's just a song about these things that certain women go through on a daily basis in order to feel loved or in order to love themselves.

In my opinion the message that she is trying to give us is definitely clear. As a teenager of 2021 where social media are spread all over the world and photoshop is at its highest with not only models but even younger girls making themselves look stunning and perfect, I have been several times in the position of looking at myself and wondering why I am not like them and convincing me that I am not enough. However, after listening to this song and finding the trend with girls actually showing their true selves, I started believing in me and feeling better for myself, as the lyrics say, feeling beautiful just the way I am. It was not that I didn't know that it was all fake, but at the back of my mind I still believed that some of them can be real which might be the truth but this is not the point. What makes me even happier is that this song has not made only me feel grateful and happy with myself, but also thousands of other girls who thought the same as me. I would recommend you to take a look at the videoclip of the song which is only five minutes. It is worth it.
